Advancing Circular Electronics Through Innovative Chemical Recycling
06/06/2025Chemical recycling of printed electronics remains a major challenge on the path toward a circular electronics industry. In June, Sergio Clemente Castro, PhD, presented the latest findings on one-pot glycolysis of printed electronics at the IAPRI Conference in Roanoke, USA.
The presentation highlighted cutting-edge approaches to breaking down electronic materials efficiently, offering potential pathways to recover valuable components while minimizing environmental impact. ITENE’s team played a key role in representing the project and advancing research in sustainable electronics.
These efforts reflect a broader commitment to developing technologies that close the loop in the electronics sector, ensuring materials are reused and repurposed rather than discarded.
