Advancing Sustainable Healthcare with Printed Electronics

01/12/2025

In November, Inmaculada Lorente Gómez participated in a workshop on sustainable healthcare, where the role of printed electronics as a greener alternative to conventional electronics was highlighted.

The session focused in particular on the development of a sustainable temperature logger, demonstrating how innovative design and materials can reduce the environmental impact of monitoring devices used in healthcare and cold supply chains.

Beyond this specific use case, the workshop also provided an opportunity to present the broader scope of the ECOTRON project, showcasing its range of applications and its contribution to more sustainable electronic solutions across different sectors.

These discussions reinforced the potential of printed electronics to support the transition towards more responsible and environmentally conscious healthcare systems.
